Adding A Touch Of Elegance To Yeti Interior

Škoda Auto did add strips of Silver trim to my Yeti's interior here and there.

Today I am going to add more.

Since I upgraded my gear knob I haven't stopped thinking about more interior modifications.

A touch of elegance in my Yeti's cockpit

My Yeti, by the way, is an Ambition Plus. 

I've got factory strips of Silver trim on the steering wheel, the air vents and around the air conditioning controls and instrument bezels. 

Today I'm going to add more of it in other places and then see what the overall look will be.

A quick search online and I find what might do it.

I order and it arrives fast.

At the same time I also order a roll of Silver foil tape. This I will use for the joins.

I'll start with the door handle surrounds...

The seller of the plastic trim has provided an applicator👍

This new piping is easy to work with and appears to be of decent quality - no breaking or cracking.

Let's snip the end of it and see what is what...

I had a feeling the join would be obvious 🙄

That is exactly why I bought the Silver foil tape.

Let's break it out...

So what do you think?

I might go over the join again to try and get it as close to undetectable as I can.

These next places are easy - no joins necessary...

Done.

What about a strip of Silver along there?

Done.

It would appear that I'm on a roll here🤨

Back to the doors and a dab of glue here and there holds the new piping in place.

And my Infotainment surround...

For this I'm going to use my trusty PE-Foam tape that hasn't let me down yet 👏

I have used it to secure:

• my roof spoiler
• my wheel arch kit
• my front bumper strips
• my sill covers

Let's stick some on the infotainment frame...

This centre vent surround looks like a good candidate for some Silver piping too...

But, the join must be eliminated.

The foil tape to the rescue again. 

I cut a small strip off the roll and apply it.

Done.

I don't forget about these two little beauties...

And finally (for now anyway!) I'll try some piping on the storage bin...

All done. 😀
