Fitting Wheel Arch Kit On Yeti

Skoda Yeti outdoor wheel arches
So I found this aftermarket Skoda Yeti wheel arch kit online and I didn’t hesitate.
Let's get installing.

Where I did take my time though was in figuring out the best way to attach it to my wheel arches.

Screwing or pop-riveting into the bodywork is out of the question👎

So the choice can only be the double-sided PE-Foam tape.
It seems I will need about three rolls of it for this wheel arch kit.
The online reviews are unanimous… this tape is what I must use if I want plastic to stick to the outside of my Yeti.
And still be there in five years!
I have already used it to attach my roof spoiler and I'm very happy so far.

I wipe over my Yeti's arches with white spirit.
And brush out crud from behind the arches.
Strips of double-sided foam tape cut as needed.
I offer up the first plastic arch and press hard.

This wheel arch kit is a good fit

I complete both rear arches and move to the front.
So far, so good.
I need to remove this screw...

Then tuck the new plastic arch underneath the lining and put the screw back...

I repeat the same on the other front side.
All in all about an hour and a half of work.
And I am definitely happy with these new arches.

I won't annoy the foam tape by jet washing my Yeti just yet.
The cost of this wheel arch kit was the equivalent of £80 plus the foam tape.
Good times.

Just a heads up: many of my posts contain affiliate links of products I have bought for my Yeti.
If you buy something from one of these links, you will not pay a penny more.
I will get a small commission, although not every time.
The extra pennies help me to pay the annual cost of the domain name.
I thank you for your support.
