Decorative Sill Covers Fitted To Škoda Yeti

Yesterday I fitted front bumper decorative strips to my Yeti.

Today, I will fit these decorative sill covers.

My Yeti, as most, left the Škoda factory with silver off-road trim to the front and rear as standard

But on the sills... nothing.😕

So these decorative sill covers should finish off the rugged off-road look that I’m going for with my Yeti.

I ordered them online (and a Yeti mouse mat).

They arrived fast.
Let's lay things out and see what's what.

I am also going to need cleaning spirit, double-sided foam tape and my trusty Torx screwdriver set.

By the way, the PE-Foam tape is the same that I used when I fitted

• my wheel arch kit
• my roof spoiler
• my front bumper decorative strips

Clearly, I trust it.

The best money can buy if you ask me.

I use the cleaning spirit to lightly wipe over the sills.

There are seven Torx screws to undo.

I think I'll blast them with penetrating fluid or else I risk shearing them.

Good job I keep a can of WD-40 in my Yeti because I'm doing this job in a car park😮

All seven Torx screws are out and they put up no fight.

Now let's offer up a sill cover and check flushness before rushing to bolt it on

Looks like good times.

So let’s put a strip of double-sided foam tape on the outer edge of the sill cover and then reattach the seven Torx screws.

And repeat everything on the other side...

BOOM!
