Custom Lower Radiator Grille For Yeti

This custom lower radiator grille is manufactured in and sold from Russia.

Thanks go to the UK Yeti Owners Club for pointing me in the right direction.

Not only does this grille look good but it protects against a rogue stone from holing the lower radiator

No more dead leaves illegally squatting in there either.

The Russians accept PayPal and that's okay with me.

I chose the style I wanted, gulped hard then hit some Russian word on their website that seemed to mean ‘Pay’.
And it must have done, because nine days later and guess what has arrived...

I was able to track my package from Moscow to here in the Czech Republic

The Russians also emailed me throughout the process and tried their best to write in English.

You have to respect that.

The packet contains four clips, four long screws and a long thin screwdriver. There’s also an instruction leaflet.

I'm thankful for the diagrams.

 My Russian reading ability is probably as effective as yours😐

Let's get on with it.

Now I am going to evict all the dead leaves from inside my lower grille.

I employ the services of a bailiff… my trusty portable Black & Decker Dustbuster

It lives in my Yeti and I wouldn’t be without it. 

The massive 12V cord means there isn’t a space anywhere in or even around my Yeti that I cannot vacuum. 

And a powerful suction for a portable.

Out it comes...

And within minutes I’m packing it away again – the leaves heard it fire up and they scattered like startled pigeons.

With the dead leaves hoovered up, let’s offer up the new protector grille to its new home and see what’s what.

It is giving me a bit of a fight here; it isn’t gripping at the back.

Three attempts. Now I’m certain all four clips are clawing onto something.

And now that long thin screwdriver the Russians supply makes sense👍

BOOM!

A beautiful black powder coating over the aluminium makes this a quality product to the touch and to the eye. 

Not to mention the protection it gives to the lower radiator.

I am also not able to fault the service I was given by the Russians, from start to finish
