Skoda Yeti Does Germany In 40 Minutes

germany border
Just the Ore Mountains between my flat here in the Czech Republic and Germany’s Eastern border.
What the Skoda Yeti was designed for... driving.

The drive is magnificently scenic and peaceful

scenic drive to germany
Czechs living in my area – North Bohemian – often drive to Germany to buy things like baby food and cleaning products – all better quality and cheaper, apparently.

But I regularly drive my Yeti to Germany just for fun😎

Driving through one particular mountain place would lead me across the border and into the German town of Marienberg.

Marienberg border
But today I choose a different place through the mountain and I cross the border into the quaint little town of Olbernhau.

For a Saturday afternoon Olbernhau is fairly deserted

Olbernhau DE empty at weekend
Olbernhau germany pretty town
I stretch my legs a bit but I don't see anybody around... strange, but kind of cool.

It's time to point my Yeti in the direction of  the Czech Republic and go home

Guitar Anthems or Metallica: The Black Album will surely be selected on my stereo.
Good times.
Thanks for visiting.

Just a heads up: many of my posts contain affiliate links of products I have bought for my Yeti.
If you buy something from one of these links, you will not pay a penny more.
I will get a small commission, although not every time.
The extra pennies help me to pay the annual cost of the domain name.
I thank you for your support.
